Hey there, Kevin! I think we’d get along, even though I can’t stand Trump, because you’re a straight shooter. And I like guys that call it like it is. Always have. I guess that’s part of what has kept me in construction for decades. Look, I’m not always right. I get that. But my heart’s in the right place. I’ll bet in your years of trucking, you saw a lot of things. Maybe you stopped and helped people along side the road. You seem like that kind of person. I lived in NY, and yes, taxes were high. I couldn’t afford it. But the schools were amazing. When I relocated to the South, the schools were horrible. Example: the Spanish teacher could barely speak English and Spanish wasn’t even his native language. I don’t blame him, he was just a guy trying to make a living. But the kids didn’t learn. How could they? I’ll be upfront with you: as much as I loved 300 acres of pasture tucked behind my little home there, my kids education suffered. So, there’s trade-offs. Things to like and dislike everywhere you go, you know? And to me it comes down to this: I’m not going to start hating on people because one guy likes Trump and another guy likes Clinton, or one woman lives in California and another in Missouri. Because, for the most part, I really like people. Unless they weave in and out of traffic, cut people off and shoot the bird. Which makes me wonder how you put up with driving all those years. You’re a bigger man than me for doing that. PS. I’m an Independent, too.
