I have issues.

I am not inclined to write what people want to read. This makes me obscure.

If not for obscurity, a lot of off-the-grid writing would never occur. Such writers would be feeding pigeons instead of writing things no one ever reads. This is the challenge.

Van Gogh only sold one painting in his lifetime. Truth is, I’m not anywhere close to that modest level of achievement yet.

So yes, by all measures I’m a failed writer. Because I have issues with success. And I insist on writing stuff no one ever reads.
