I’ve experienced this phenomenon many times. Sometimes it has come barraging in similar to what you described: as a bit of a shock. Almost how I’d imagine a stroke. An electric-like jolt, without the side effects of a stroke. But whether it’s been hard punching or more moderate, it’s always felt deliberate.

In our conversational context, the idea of deliberateness has two components. First, as soon as I open a ‘certain something’ up within myself, or under specific circumstances, BAM! It’s there. I want to be clear here that these packets, poised as they seem, are not always coming in like inbound missiles. What I mean is, there are many times when I’ve been in deeper consciousness journeys and there hasn’t been even the slightest hint of something like that lounging around in the wings.

Second, I’ve always a sense that there’s some intelligence behind it. It’s as though a person, a being, maybe even some kind of AI is deciding that specific moments are somehow the ‘right time’ for the download.

As I’ve mentioned, my experience is that these DCIPs can take years — years — to unpack.
