PKD — a writer who deeply influenced me. His toying with his everyday protagonist’s sense of reality was mind-bending, probably before the term was ever actually uttered in the press. For a number of years I had worked my way through science fiction to finally land at Philip K. Dick, and in meeting his work I was both aghast and breathless. If I had met him in person way back then I may have been disillusioned. But not now. Anyway, after reading all of his work, in desperation I searched for anyone to compare, and fortunately discovered Stanislaw Lem.
