That’s the troubling thing about writing, and life even: we want to matter. Yet, five minutes, or five years, or five decades from now — we won’t. Which, I suppose, is partly why I’ve never written that book. Why invest in things that only matter for a few moments in time? It’s a bit of a troubling question.
